Commitment in Africa? A very rare thing. But Chico and Haliminha have been committed to each other for 16 years since before the birth of their daughter, Irene. A government recognized marriage in Mozambique is around $500 and they have never had enough money to celebrate the love they share. Plus, Halminha’s family is Muslim and didn’t like the idea of her in a Christian family but are starting to see that this love is real. I pray that these two are able to get married soon and be able to live together as a family!
