Today is World Race Day! If you have spent any time whatsoever today visiting Facebook pages or blogs or websites or pretty much anything connected to the WR, I’m sure one number has stood out to you.
11!
Now to be honest, I thought this whole “11” bit was a little over the top. It only took a couple go-arounds of the “11th day of the month!!!” for me to see some enthusiasts already on board the 11 train (in the 11th car, in the 11th row, etc.) Well humility is humility, and it is time I swallow my pride and confess…
I’ve fully embraced the Era of the Elevens in my life.
So in keeping with the theme, I’m writing a list of (you guessed it) 11 things that you could pray for me (and my whole squad) for leading up to launch in January.
1. Staying focused on Him at all times.
2. Strength.
3. Comfort while experiencing a *lottle* change.
4. Staying present. It’s easy to get caught up in what will be and miss on what is. It’s too easy to make the grass seem greener on the other side. Today is a gift; that is why they call it PRESENT.
5. To-do lists. My list is still longer than my arm….
6. Motivation and energy. To complete said to-do lists.
7. Courage.
8. Perseverance. “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1
9. Spiritual preparation. Having discipline to remain in God’s Word on a daily basis and building the foundation on Him for when days are rough.
10. Staying healthy. Next year will be challenging on a physical aspect as well.
11. Family. It’s difficult to leave behind loved ones and equally difficult to see loved ones leave. Saying goodbye to my family will be extremely hard.

I can’t say thank you enough to all of you that have been so supportive thus far. I am daily blessed by each and everyone of your messages of encouragement, phone calls, texts, dinner dates, etc.
