11) I’ve been able to see and explore the world and have never stopped being amazed by the beauty of God’s creation wherever I’m at…

10) I have met the most amazing people in this world, who are doing the most amazing things for His kingdom.  All of whom have inspired me to dream bigger and to never ever put limits on God…
9) I wake up each morning and nothing about my day is normal…
8) The little things in life that I once took for granted such as warm showers, napkins, Starbucks, measuring cups, or canned pumpkins have become such blessings…
7) Little pieces of my heart are scattered around the world as I fall in love in each country…
6) Everyday I am reminded that I wasn’t chosen for the Race because of my strengths but because of my weaknesses.  For it’s in my weakest moments that God is strongest.  Everyday on this Race I am reminded that I was chosen…
5) It’s given me a second chance, a chance to do life right.  To take a year off to allow the Father to reshape everything about me, to take the time to learn who I am, who God is, and what He has for me…
4) I’ve been challenged and strengthened by this beautiful thing called community.  I’ve acquired six new family members, who call me up to be the woman God has created me to be.  Who are there for a good laugh, a positive or constructive feedback or two, a giant hug, or a shoulder to cry on.  The only six people in the world who could possibly understand this crazy journey I am on…
3) With each month, comes a new challenge, a new lesson God has for me to learn.  God is breaking me down more and more, reshaping me, and slowly entering into every area of my life.  I look so different from the girl I once was, the girl who never thought she could do something like the World Race.  The World Race is a tool that God is using to bring about growth.  I can feel it and it hurts so good…
2) After 22 years of having every second of my life planned and filled up with things that I thought I had to do, I get to spend 11 months entirely and completely devoted to serving my King.  It’s the biggest lifestyle change I have ever made, one that has given God the room to move and reign…
1) The World Race has opened up my world.  I am wrecked for the ordinary.  I have seen what the Father has for me, what He has for all of us and it’s so much better than anything this world has to offer.  My eyes are set on the finish line.  This Race that I am running is so much longer than 11 months!  The World Race is by far the hardest thing I have ever done, but it’s also the best thing!  Happy Thanksgiving from the BFFs in Las Lajas, Panama!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I want to take the time to thank everyone who has shared in this journey with me.  All of my family, friends, supporters, prayer warriors, and  blog followers, I truly can’t thank you enough.  Every prayer, every encouraging word, every donation, it is all felt so strongly!  I wish you all a very happy and blessed day.  May you take time to give thanks to the Father who has given you everything!  May everyday of your life be a day of Thanksgiving to Him! Hallelujahs are the language of heaven and when we give thanks He fills our lives with joy and peace!  When you stop and look around you realize there is always so much to be thankful for!
