We’re only here for a little while

And God gives us only so much precious time

I am juggling grad school courses and a full time externship. Some days I leave my apartment around 7:15 and don’t get home until around 8 or later. Sometimes it can get overwhelming. Not to mention my bank account.. I am thankful that between scholarships and my awesome parents undergrad was taken care of for me. Now I am paying my own way through graduate school. Between out of state tuition, books, rent, gas, food, and everything else life throws at me that is a huge price tag. Unfortunately that means huge student loans. The original plan was to graduate, find a job somewhere, and begin paying off those student loans.

It might seem a little crazy that I am taking on this journey right now. I am now adding preparing for the World Race into the mix. Some people might think “shouldn’t you pay off your student loans before trying to raise all this money” or “how can you give school, externship, and the WR the attention they all need?”

I have a simple answer. Because He said so.

Sometimes when my to-do list is a mile long all I want to do is sit on the couch and watch Netflix. But I know that if I put my faith in Him, everything will be fine.

Slip on By came on the radio today while I was out running errands. I have always liked this song, but today it took on a new meaning. I may not ever have another opportunity to go on this mission trip. This is what I’m meant to do, and this is when I’m meant to do it. When you are being called to do something, don’t hesitate. If it’s His will, everything will work out perfectly. It can be scary or overwhelming at times. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Who knows what the future will bring. We have no guaranteed tomorrows. Answer your calling when you hear it. Whatever and whenever it may be.

Don’t let it slip on

Don’t let it slip on

Don’t let it slip on by
