Dear Friends and Family,
I hope you are doing well. I am sending this letter to you to share with you the new adventures God has opened up for me. As most of you know I have had a strong passion for missions for many years now. I have been on many mission trips and have had some amazing opportunities. Since I graduated from Oasis School of Ministry in December I have been seeking the face of God for direction and trusting Him to show which way He would have me turn. I had begun to believe God just wanted me to stay here, yet not really sure what it was He wanted me to do. All I heard Him say is “I’m making you available.” At the time I didn’t know what that meant then a couple weeks later a good friend introduced me to an organization called Adventures in Missions and their “World Race” program. As soon as I found out about this, I knew in my heart this is for me. This screams my name! Instead of jumping into it and applying for the program, I took some time for fasting & prayer to make sure this was truly what God had for me. After some time, application processes and acceptance here I am ready to embark on this exciting adventure. The missions’ trip is for 11 months and I will serve as a missionary to 11 countries around the world. While on the world race my team and I will be partnering with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring hope of the Father’s love to many tribes in many nations.
I’m so thankful and excited for this opportunity that God has opened to me. I know that God will provide for my every need. I want to extend to you the opportunity to sow into this amazing mission that I am embarking on and be a part of bring hope to the hopeless. The scripture I have been given to guide me into this calling is: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15
I’m asking you to send me, through prayer to cover me during this trip and financial support. On the financial consideration there two separate needs to be met.
First, for this trip I have to raise between $5,500 and $6,500 for equipment, some limited clothing, round trip air travel to Atlanta for training, air travel to departure city and arrival city upon my return, monthly personal expenses on trip. I have constructed my list and researched the equipment needed with consideration to all the weather conditions that I will be faced with on a daily bases for the 11 months.
Second, specifically, the world race mission trip $15,500, which will cover the trip. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount from the beginning and end date. For example, if 25 people pledge $52 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip, excluding my personal monthly needs.
