This photo isn’t artistic, filtered, or going to be featured on anyone’s Instagram…but God so sweetly revealed the beauty in the moment of my team seeking the kingdom.

I witnessed this moment about 50 more times than what is pictured, and it was absolutely overwhelming. My team has been working in the slums with kids…teaching stories and songs and generally letting kids be kids for an hour a day. It’s an opportunity for the slum kids who grow up in extreme poverty and often have to grow up quickly, to feel loved and valued and experience the love of our Father. Afterwards, some of the kids (as young as 4) walk us about a mile to our bus. This is what this picture is. My guys, proudly holding the hands of ratty-hair, dirty slum kids…and other people walking by and wondering…what? Why?

And that’s why I’m here. Serving where I’m called to serve. Not only are we here to seek the kingdom in the lowest, last, and least of these…but also giving others the opportunity to ask why. What is different about these foreigners? Why would they be caring for these slum kids? Because when people ask why, it opens the door for Him to answer. It’s pointing others back to the Source.

I am so thankful and blessed to have this opportunity to serve and lead these amazing young adults! I’m currently $1655 away from being fully funded for the remainder of my trip, and I would so appreciate your prayers about supporting me with a $5, $10, or $20 blessing!

Love y’all.
