Whooooooa…Half Way There…..Whooooooa! Livin’ On A Prayer!
Being on the other side of half-way is…surreal. Odd. But on the other hand…enlightening… This is a collaborative blog written by my team, Golden Girls…and it is a prayer request list of some of the things we have encountered and things that The Lord has broken our hearts for in each country.
Please join us in praying…

-For the refugees fleeing from South Sudan into Uganda. More resources and prayers are need at the northern border. May the hope of a better future be ever present in minds and hearts.
-For the street children who come from villages into the city of Kampala. These children are leaving the poverty of villages thinking they will find a better life and money in the city, but they don’t. These children find drugs and alcohol on the streets. Addiction is prevalent. Pray for recovery in the lives of these children. Recovery from drug and alcohol addictions is hard, especially if you are ten. The non-profits that are helping these children are fighting a hard battle with limited resources. Pray for those who are trying to help these children and for resources to increase. The need and demand for resources is greater than the supply available.
-Against government corruption
-For the street kids in Kampala and the NGO Amari Uganda
-For Pastor Patrick at Reformed Theological College
-For Stella, who works at Backpackers Kampala. She served us so well during our stay.
-For the orphans in Uganda. Especially for the children who are in corrupt orphanages. There are orphanages profiting off children with special needs. They are capitalizing on and taking advantage of these precious children. Humanitarians pay to volunteer, but the money does not go to the children. They are used and exploited as money makers.
-For HOPE
-For the oppression of women to cease
-For TRUE LIGHT and JOY throughout the nation
-For Joesph in Masaka and all those who are feeling and experiencing the pursuit of the Lord in their lives. May seeds continue to be planted. Reveal Yourself, Oh, God. May they know You love them and so desire a personal relationship with them. Thank You that You are a God who pursues, continuously pursues. Keep pursuing Joseph. Keep pursuing all who are distant, wandering, and seeking.

-For the social entrepreneurial sector. Many amazing business are taking off throughout the country. Prayers for success and integrity in business practices. May there be more jobs to break through poverty.
-For the increase of vulnerability and trust based on the Gospel. May Gospel truths fill hearts, not past scars and hurt from the genocide.
-For emotional and psychological healing from the genocide instead of covering up and forgetting. Many lives are lived in fear instead of faith. May faith increase. It is all about appearance and how things look throughout this nation. People are not fixing things on the inside and these things are continuing to compound. May God fix and heal.
-For Ubumwe Center, which is the only special needs school in the country. There is only one school like this due to an overarching cultural component of not wanting to recognize people with special needs. At Ubumwe Center, there is also a day program for adults with special needs called Jessie’s Place. May funds, support, and resources continue to increase. Pray for the students and participants. May they know they are loved. Pray for the staff who display an amazing picture of Jesus’ love. May they receive strength and rest to continue the work they are doing.
-For John Claude, in the house on the hill that was built with extra rooms to house missionaries, and all those who are exposed to a new understanding of ministry after meeting and doing life with members of our Fusion 3 squad. May the realization that ministry is life and life is ministry sink into their hearts. Ministry is not just something we do, it is the way we live. May we be missionary minded and live like it. Lord, please break boxes, remove lenses, change our lives as we follow You. More of You, less of us.
-For Thomas, our dear friend who taught us all we needed to know in the kitchen in Kigali, and all those around the world who have servant hearts. Lord, thank You that we can love others because you have first loved us. God, may Thomas receive and understand Your GREAT LoVe for him more and more each day.
-For our friend Gratien, a kayaking and paddle board guide. May he be surrounded by people who love him.
-For the staff at Calafia Coffee Shop in Gisenyi. May their business continue to prosper.
-For Jessie’s Place and Jessica Mccall.
-For Tina and her family. Tina works with at risk children and mothers through providing nutrition, insurance, and English lessons. She empowers mothers to live prosperous lives.
-For healing. For release. Not just trying to cover up the past hurts from the genocide.
-For HEALING

-For Mary and all those who are crazy about Jesus in a culture that does not get it. Lord, we pray its said about our lives that we lived more to build Your name than ours.
-For Broush (Brihanu) my friend who drives taxi from Mecenessa and all those who we meet and love in our everyday paths. Broush reminded me of the power there is when we pray for each other. May we step out of our comfort zones and pray for one another from the taxi driver to the grocery clerk to our doctor to the stranger on the bus to our dear cousin. Let us pray.

Resources and finances are limited right now. Prayers for financial provision, so that operation will continue.
-For the continued support of Christian missionaries who are bringing the truths of the simple Gospel of grace to a culture stuck in the religiosity of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. May resources for this work increase.
-For hands and hearts that are open to receiving help and assistance, especially when it comes to the village mindset and orphan care.
{malaysia}
-For the people who have a lot of excess and things, to see a need for a savior beyond themselves.

-For William (Weiliang), who is very much a part of our Fusion 3 family, and all of those who are new believers. Thank you Lord Jesus that the decision of follow You has been made. We celebrate with our new family members! Lord may You continue to bring people into William’s life to disciple him. We praise You Lord!!!
-For deep, purposeful community to develop and grow, especially in the cities. There is a lack of community. There is this ‘drive-by friendship’ mentally. May people join together to live life, be intentional, encourage one another, and love deeply.
-For all temples to fall
-For the spirit of confusion that has settled throughout this nation to be rebuked in Jesus name. There is a confusion of who and what is god due to the diversity in this country. May all come to know Jesus Christ ~ Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Way, the Truth, the Life, the One True God.
-For Mooi and staff at Grocers Inn Hostel in Kuala Lumpur. May business prosper and people who know Jesus be sent their way. May they come to know Jesus and His love.

-For all those at The Connection Church and international church who are preaching the Gospel until the whole world hears.
-For JOY Rooted in Christ. People say that Thailand is “The Land of Smiles”, but Indonesia is truly “The Land of Smiles”. They are the most friendly and joyous people. They have this joy, but it is rooted in themselves. It is an exhausting joy. May the sustaining joy that is found only in Christ Jesus be rooted in their hearts. May the joy of the Lord be their strength.
-For EVELYN! Our former Golden Girl teammate!
