Which do you want first? The good or the bad?

The bad news is… as of the 1st of March, I only have 3 financial supporters.

The good news is…  Between those three supporters, $3,300 dollars have come in so far! Thank you SO much! I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY when I received my support status update, and so humbled to see the generous hearts that God has given you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I now have all my up-front, one-time funds raised!

The bad news is… I don’t have any monthly supporters (of which I need $800/month)

The good news is… I still have another month to find people willing to support me monthly.

But the absolute BEST news is… there really isn’t any bad news at all, because I am still confident that God is going to use people like my current 3 supporters and people like you, perhaps, to bring in the monthly support.

Let me take one moment to reiterate just how important monthly support is. Monthly support is highly valued as a missionary. It is money that I know will be deposited into my account each month and divvied up into the different areas needed, such as lodging, food, the nursery ministry, etc. If all my support raised is one-time donations, that account will slowly empty over time, with the necessary $800 a month withdrawal at the end of each month. Meaning, that I will be in a constant state of support raising, making sure that I am filling up the account as it empties, so that I will have enough money to last me throughout my time in Manila. Automatic monthly withdrawal, however fixes this problem. With automatic monthly withdrawals, I know that every month I am in Manila, $800 is guaranteed to be deposited into my account. There is no need for constant support raising, because the money is already committed. As for you, you send in a blank check along with how much you would like to support each month, and all your work is done. The selected amount will be automatically withdrawn from your account on the same day every month. It’s a GREAT system!

So I ask that if you are reading this that you really pray and consider becoming a monthly supporter. $25 dollars a month is about how much the average person spends on Starbucks, pop, or Jamba Juice… many spending $50 or more. Would you please consider using some of that money to make a huge difference in the life of not only myself, but in the advance of the Gospel in the Philippines and in the life and home for an abandoned baby in Manila.

Your support is vital to this ministry, and I pray that you would jump on board and join me as I go to the Philippines this April. I have about one month left until I leave (36 days to be exact!)… and it would be awesome to have my monthly support raised by then.

If you have already decided to become a supporter but haven’t sent it in to K.I.M yet, please do so as soon as possible, since the next support period is only through March 20th, and that is the most recent status I will have before leaving on April 7th. Sending it in March does not mean that money will begin coming out of your checking account yet. On the form, simply mark “Begin in April.”

If you want to support but don’t know how, please email me at [email protected] and I will send you a support form via email.

Also, if you sent support in but not until the end of February, there is a good chance that it is not included in this update, which only goes through February 20th. So thank you to those people as well!

Again, I only receive updates at the end of each month, so I won’t know who else has chosen to support me between now and my leaving until my next update between March 25th-March 31st. If you want to go ahead and let me know how much you have chosen to support me for, I would really appreciate that as well. My email is [email protected]
