What exactly does
God’s love look like? What is the difference between God’s love and human love
when expressed through people? How can I love other people with the love of God?

These are some of the questions that a few of my team
members—myself included—have been considering and processing through. They seem
simple enough, but if you really analyze them closely, they are actually some
pretty tough questions. Sure, it’s easy to say that I love my teammates…but do
I really love them? Do I see them
through God’s eyes and love them for the people that God created them to be? Do
they see God in me and working through me when I show love to them? And do I
consistently show love to my teammates, or is it based on my current mood or
situation? And what about strangers… do I love the people of Thailand
with the love that comes from the living God? How do I even begin to do that
when we speak two different languages? There is a lot to consider when talking
about love. It’s not a word to be taken lightly, and it doesn’t have a simple
meaning or definition by any account. Love is a complex word.

According to the bible, love is:

    patient and kind

And love does not:

envy, boast, keep record of wrongs, or delight
in evil

And love is not:

proud, rude, self-seeking, or easily angered

But love does:

rejoice with the truth, protect, trust,
hope, and persevere

Love never fails
