I’m not quite sure that any words or video can capture the unique and lovable personality of this kid of the week… but nevertheless, this week, meet Moses!

At just less than two months old, Moses was found abandoned by a river… no parents to be found anywhere, no name, no record tracing his existence. And so he came to be a part of the New Faith Family Children’s home, and was aptly given the name Moses. So as far back as he can remember, the NFFCH has always been home for Moses. Currently, at age three and a half, Moses is one of our oldest kids in the nursery. And he has gladly taken the seniority role into his hands!

Although there are many different things I could think to share about Moses, there a few that stick out in my mind…. First, Moses loves to eat! He would eat all day if we let him! He eats crumbs off the floor, scraps left over from meals, and I’ve even seen him pick food off of the babies’ faces and eat that too! Second, Moses is a little monkey! I’m convinced that he could find a way to hang from the ceiling fan if we asked him too. Unfortunately, he has no problem getting into hard-to-reach, “baby-safe” areas in the nursery as well. And lastly, Moses loves to ask questions! Currently, his favorite question is “why?” In a normal day, I spend a good chunk of time explaining to Moses what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, where I’m going, why I’m going, who I’m going with, etc …I have yet to give him a sufficient answer that is not followed with another “why?”

Moses has recently been undergoing the “declaration of abandonment” process, which will allow him to, God willing, be matched with a family. Please keep this in mind as you pray for Moses this week. Pray that Moses will be matched with a family that loves the Lord more than anything else. Pray that God would be preparing the family as well as Moses, for their future life together. Pray for Moses’ development, and that one day, he would grow up to be a great man of God.

One thing is for sure. If and when Moses goes to live with a family, there will be a little piece of everyone’s heart that goes with him. We love this little guy!
