“Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane, don’t know when Ill be back again, oh babe, I hate to go”

These lyrics are running through my mind as I am finishing up our last night here in Thailand. I don’t think it’s really hit me yet that we are actually leaving Bangkok for good. We first arrived in Bangkok on September 17th, our first country of the world race. We were here in the city for about 4 days before we left to go to our ministry locations in more rural areas of the country. Then, three weeks later, we returned to Bangkok, a familiar and comfortable place. We were here for a good 4 days again before leaving to go to Cambodia. We stayed in several different cities in Cambodia for a total of about 4 weeks, and then once again, we came back to Bangkok, where we have been for the past 5 days. Coming to Bangkok has really felt like coming home. It is a familiar place where I know how to get around, I know where to get the best and least expensive smoothie around, and I truly feel comfortable.

But tomorrow we will get on our first flight since the plane that took us here from the states. Tomorrow we will fly to the Philippines, and we will say goodbye to Cambodia and to Thailand, possibly forever. I don’t know where God will bring me in the years to come, but I am fairly certain that there will be many countries that I will visit this year, and then say goodbye to forever. It’s a weird concept to fall in love with a country and their people so quickly, and then say goodbye just as fast.

I wish there was some way to express the love and thanks that I have for those that I was blessed to work with so far these past two months in Cambodia and Thailand. Thank you so much to Noi and Bronwyn, Anne, YWAM Bangkok, The women at The Well, all the staff at the Four Square Orphanage, Seang, and anyone else I may have missed. I hope that we were able to bless you through the short time we were with you, and I hope that you know that you were all an immense blessing to me. I thank God for my time spent with you. God Bless you all!

I’ll be posting a couple more blogs on the past week once I get to the Philippines… bye bye for now!
