In about five days we will have reached the halfway
point in the world race… WOW!
At this point in time, we should have all of our financial support in our account, minus any monthly
pledges that have not come in yet. After adding together the funds that have
already been deposited in my account and the pledges that will come in over the
next five and a half months, I am still short $1,500.
There have been times over the past five months that I have
questioned why I even came on this trip. The year has been a rollercoaster of
extreme highs and severe lows… why would I choose to do this to myself? Why
would I submit myself to hungry orphans, hopeless beggars, desperate
prostitutes, and deprived pastors? I work with and live amongst the poorest of
the poor, the hopeless, the lost, and the needy… and although my desire is to
lift them out of the circumstances they are in, I don’t have that power. And it
breaks my heart every time.
So why do I do it? Because I feel very strongly that this is
what God has called me to, for at least this year, if not longer…. and when God
calls you, you better get up and go!
And so I am asking you now to contribute money so that I will
be able to complete the race and God’s call on my life for this year. Any money
that you are willing to donate will help make this possible.
