wow. where to even begin. there was so much goodness packed into this past week. i mean freakin good…i’m just gonna make a list of some of my favorite memories:

tent-pitching, dance parties, late-night lake jumping, eating noodles for breakfast, not showering, camp fire worship, watching strangers turn into best friends in a matter of days, winning squad wars (at least in my head we did), vulnerable tears, belly-aching laughter, dirty hair and headbands, finding keys at the bottom of the lake, Jesus, Jesus, and more Jesus.

so many lessons learned. so much insight. so many amazing people. i cannot explain all the details of training camp in a blog, but i can say that God showed up…time and time again.  i am more thankful than ever for my squad and for my team. and i am more excited than ever to start on this journey. i feel like this week was just a simple taste of the next year to come…..and it tasted prettyyyyy niiiiice. happy for this next month at home to soak up precious time with people and to prepare and figure out how to pack my life in a backpack (still working on that one).

more than anything this week, i saw the sweet love of my Savior. needtobreathe captures so many of my feelings in these words:

Your love is like radiant diamonds
Bursting inside us we cannot contain
Your love will surely come find us
Like blazing wild fires singing Your name

God of mercy sweet love of mine
I have surrendered to Your design
May this offering stretch across the skies
And these Hallelujahs be multiplied

amen, Jesus, may our hallelujahs be multiplied and may we surrender to Your beautiful and radiant design.  may our lives reflect Your wild-fire love for us.

have the greatest day of your life thus far and share some good news. and for those of you that don’t know, here’s where i’m going next year….

dominican republic. haiti. honduras. guatemala. malawi. zimbabwe. mozambique. philippines. thailand. burma. cambodia.
