Oh Hi!!!!! My name is Christi-An, and I love to smile!!!!! I grew up in the country of Haiti as a missionary kid from the age of 5-20. I was home schooled along with my 3 brothers, 2 older and one younger. I wouldn’t trade my life in Haiti for anything I loved growing up there!!! We played soccer every day and did lots of exploring, bicycle, motorcycle, and four-wheeler riding. All 3 of us younger kids also had the opertunity to play on the local soccer teams as well. My dads work was to facilitate visiting work groups from the states (wherther they were medical or work or just whatever!!) for remote projects in Haiti!!! He would take care of every thing from transportation, food and water, to sleeping arrangements and translators. All the projects were coordinated through the local church to benefit the community. Me and my brothers always got to go with the teams to help with translating and anything else my dad needed help with!!! I definitely learned a lot from all the varied experiences with so many different people visiting through the years!!
After high school, I stayed in Haiti and worked along side my dad for a
couple of years, helping him with visiting teams and translation. I
then moved back to the US where I’ve been involved in various things. I
first got certified as a PCT (Patient Care Technician),
did semi-professional bicycle road racing all over the US along with
my two brothers, worked with the facilities department at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church
in Ft. Lauderdale (where I still work), went on a six week backpacking,
hiking adventure with a group of Christian young adults in the Wyoming
mountains, attended school for surgical tech,
which required me to work in hospital operating rooms and assist
doctors in various surgeries including hernia, knee and eye (I didn’t
complete the whole course-maybe someday), got involved in bicycle polo,
playing and traveling to tournaments in the US. I love to take pictures especialy at races and polo events and then give them away!! And I travel back to Haiti several times a year with
various missions to help them with translating.
Traveling and sharing God’s love with others wherever I go and whatever I do is my passion!!!!!
