It’s official! I have completed The World Race! I have traveled to 11 different countries in 11 months with 45 people and now I am  going back to America.

Last night marked the final evening together as a squad. It was bittersweet. I sang the song “For Good” from Wicked to everyone as a thank you, all of our leaders spoke over us, we had our last night of worship together, and we lit candles and sang “O Come All Ye Faithful” to celebrate this year and Christmas together. The night before we had a nice squad dinner, a film festival and a graduation ceremony. We have had a lot of great ways to celebrate and end this year well together.

We will be traveling to Bucharest, Romania today, spending the night in a hotel and then flying tomorrow back to America (Friday). I have already had to say good bye to four squad mates who will be continuing traveling for a few  weeks in Europe before going home. Therefore, the race is finished.

When I go back home, my dad will pick me up from the airport on Friday, I will get to see my mom on Saturday, my Grandparents on Wednesday, Emily and Ryan Patino on Thursday, Susan Happersberger and Jan on Saturday and all of my Naperville girls on Sunday. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to see and be with everyone!

The month of December will be a busy one. I will be spending it with my family and Jan and will be having some other exciting events happening. If you don’t know what I am talking about yet,  don’t worry, you will be filled in soon. Just keep praying for me, please, because God is not done with me in this year. He still has some big things coming up in December when I get home.

I love you all and I can’t wait to see you!

Thank you so much for all of your support this year. See you in America!

Love,

Me and my goofy P Squad Family 🙂
