Hey everyone!
I am alive and well! Don’t worry I haven’t been eaten by monkeys or trampled by elephants. I know those thoughts have crossed many of your minds a time or two.
I know I haven’t done the best job at keeping you all updated on my life overseas but because of that, I will be Posting two blogs today! This update blog being one of them.
My team and I are currently in Battambang, Cambodia. We are ending month 10 entering into our last month in the Philippians! I am really excited for what the Lord has for us in the Philippines.
I will be answering a few questions I’ve been asked recently.
1. Where are you now?
– I am currently in Battambang Cambodia! I’ve been in Cambodia for the past three weeks.
2. How has the Lord challenged you recently?
– God has been doing a lot with my heart recently! I received this verse at the being of the year Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”. When I first read this, I thought God was telling me to resting in him. “Be still and rest in me” but when the Lord brought this verse back up I read it differently this time. He was telling me to “stop”. Stop striving, stop trying to prove myself, stop trying to make a name for myself because ultimately God is the one who reigns, not me. In listening prayer He
told me “Less of you, more of me” He also said, “I will use you when I need you”. As harsh as it sounds it was extremely comforting. It’s brought so much peace and understanding.
I sat in front of Him and asked him to show me what it is that I’ve been striving after and the reason behind it. He has been walking me step by step and it’s been challenging and exciting all at the same time.
3. Next steps after the race?
– Oh boy! The Lord has open so many doors and I’m praying into which one He would want me to walk into. Right now! He’s very adamant about me finishing this race well. So, that’s where my mind has been and it’s been great!
4. Will there be a Goodbye South America part 2?
– I hope so! I do plan on there being a Goodbye South America part 2! Right now the Lord has placed other things on my heart but there will be another one.
5. What has been the best moment on the race thus far?
– The best moment was ending the Camino De Santiago. We were required to walk 10 days on the Camino in Spain. The Camino is a “large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of St. James”. We walked 15 to 18 miles a day which was difficult. Geez! Was I excited when it was over. I am adding a link to one of my teammates blogs at the time when we did the camino.

– Seriously, the best moments have been truly understanding how intentional God is. It overwhelms me when He tells me to acknowledge someone on the street or sit and talk to a lady on a bench for hours because He wants to make sure she’s being heard. He loves making sure people know they are seen and hear in sometimes small and intimate ways. That’s been a huge listening point for me this year. How to be intentional with my community and the people God places right in front of me daily. My favourite moments on this race has been Gods intentionality with his children.
Thank you all so much for your support and continuous love!
Love you all!
