During my time at El Shaddai, I got to be partnered with Maria. I was her world racer.
Maria is 9 years old. She likes to play games and to be outside. She’s a very curious person, and also really shy until you get to know her. Then she is extremely sassy. She loves to sing, and I mean loudly belting it out. Maria’s favorite colors are red, gray, and black (which made us perfect for each other!). She has a beautiful smile and a laugh that is contagious.
Without the love and provision of El Shaddai, this life would not have been possible for her.
It is evident that Our Heavenly Father is passionately pursuing her, and El Shaddai Children’s Home is serving as a safe haven for her and others who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Serving with this ministry, I have heard countless stories of God’s redemptive grace in the lives of these children who now have the opportunity to live, learn, and grow in a safe and loving environment.
Because of God’s faithfulness to this ministry through the support of sponsors and donors all over the world, El Shaddai has been able to provide these children with hot meals, baths, beds, and the closest thing to family that they have ever known.
The entire cost of living for one child at El Shaddai Children’s Home is $100 per month. This includes food, shelter, education, clothing, medical care, and caretakers. Because of the special relationships that I have formed with Maria and several other children at El Shaddai, I am now advocating for them to have long term sponsors so that they can continue to receive what they need to live a healthy and happy life. So, family and friends, please prayerfully consider the privilege of being the support that my friend, Maria,needs.
