On July 30th, the two most beautiful little girls in the world were born.
Ada May and Libby Joy were born to my sister and her husband, two precious gifts from God.

Chris and I were staying at a hostel in Cuzco, Peru the night they were born. I couldn’t sleep, anxiously awaiting news of their arrival and glimpses of their sweet faces. Early on the morning of the 31st, I couldn’t wait any longer. I got out of bed and headed to a common room, fumbling to turn on the computer with already blurred vision.
And there they were. Two little nuggets. Tears of joy and sorrow poured from my eyes.
I can’t wait to squish their little cheeks and Eskimo kiss their little noses.
A friend from college sent me a message to let me know she was thinking of me in this time. She reminded me that even though I will be the last family member to meet them, that when I do, I will be “the one and only special Auntie Chrislyn.”
So, as much as I ache now to hold them now, I can’t wait for a lifetime of being their Auntie.
