This is my first post of 2019! Sorry for being MIA these past couple months. Juggling school, work, and WR stuff, this kind of became a low priority for me.
To update everyone on what has been going since 2018:
The biggest news: I officially decided to change my trip! Originally, I was going on the 11 month trip to 11 different countries. After praying and fasting for a while, I felt the Lord really call me to the three month trip to Ethiopia. I didn’t think this was going to be as hard as it was to make the decision to switch trips. I spoke to a lot of people and they all said the same thing, which at the time, was no help to me: pray about it. As a person who wants to know the answer right then and there, this was really a struggle for me. I just wanted someone to come up to me and say, “I can see you in Ethiopia.” or “The Lord is going to move through you in Vietnam.” Neither of these happened. Then one morning I was reading my Bible. Now, I had always heard of people feeling the tangible presence of God, but me personally, I had never felt this. One morning I was reading, and honestly, I do not remember what I was reading, but I started to cry and I felt this warmth all over my body, like a hug. And I heard God say to me, in the calmest most peaceful voice I had ever heard in my life, “I am so proud of you.” At that moment, I knew that it didn’t matter where I was going. My Father was proud of me no matter what. So, I started the process of changing my trip, and without any complications, it was done.
I am beyond stoked to go to Ethiopia!! Only three short months!!!!
A little prayer request is for guidance and peace. As school comes to a close and launch in August is coming up, there seems to be a lot going on with work and vacations and all that. Thank you all and love you all so much!!
