God has changed me in so many way, yet we are only in month 2. 🙂

Here are six of the top things:

What dying to yourself really means: On the Race you encounter people who have given it all to the Lord. Working with special needs kids this month has shown me Gods love. He loves these children/young adults. The room I am working with has cerebral palsy, in addition to their special needs. We must cloth them, feed them, brush their teeth, etc. God gives us the power to love them as he loves us. He cares for our every need as we do theirs.

People are the same: We may have cultural differences, however people are people. My view of how people  abroad has changed. Most people are friendly, thankful for missionaries to visit their country. Overall we want the same things. Sin is sin. Everyone is affected the same way. Nothing new under the sun.

Patiences comes from the Lord: Standing still is not a virtue of mine. In fact, I typically live life on the go. From New York and all. At times my team is discussing a topic. We are not making a decision promptly. God has given me the grace to be still. To enjoy my time with others.

God has provided everything I need, not want: Granted I still about $5K to be fully funded, but Gods will shall be done. He will provide enough, however I may want more. At times I want more then I should have. The American mentality. Why concern yourself with what is not bread?

I am not in control: God has shown me  he calls the shots. My life is surrendered to him. Even as I have been thaught that you are in control. What business school and society tells us. Reading through Revelation, I know we are here only for a season. Let me live my life as to you for this moment and eternity.

Do not aassess based on early standards: Since being on the Race, I have jumped to many conclusions. Later God revealing I was wrong. Luckily I have good emotional control, which prevents me from being foolish. I have to admit I was wrong to myself to grow from my experiences.
