Lately I have been really thinking about my leaving the things I know so well.
Simple things like making my coffee every morning.
Dude it’s tradition and if you know me I love my coffee all the time, strong and black.
On the other hand I’m really going to miss the body of Christ here in Greeley.
It is not normal to have a strong body of Christ.
Many believers yearn for community and fellowship.
I have it and take if for granted daily, yet the Lord shows his grace through each believer here.
When I come back this core will be scattered across the globe.
It reminds me of the church in the book of Acts.
The Lord sent persecution upon them to scatter them to spread his glorious message.
On a smaller scale the body of Christ here will scatter and walk in his ways.
I love the passage Hebrews 3:13.
The Lord revealed this to me recently and has really touched my heart with the importance of community.
Though hard as it might be to leave here, I know the Lord will be receiving me and many others into community on this Race.
I will miss such simple things here like coffee, but more importantly the conversations about Jesus that have taken place over a steaming cup.
Lord I will miss the laughter and the times of prayer soaking into the word with your creations.
Lord I am not worthy of your grace yet you gave it to me through your son, and I see him every time I spend time with your saints.
Thanks Lord.
