Right now I’m sitting in a coffee shop in Harlingen Texas and I just can’t believe that this journey I’ve talked so much about is about to begin.
As the plane took off this morning I felt the Lords hand of grace just cover me in a blanket of warmth.
I could almost feel the breath of the living God as he whispered comfort and peace into my ears of where he has brought me and where I’m about to go.
As I Geared this morning I felt the Lord just awake me with such joy and excitement.
Maybe too geared up because my pack ended up weighing 60 lbs and I had to throw a bunch of stuff into my other pack.
Oh, can’t forget about the Colorado Blizzard as well.
Being trapped in a house for two days is enough to drive a person mad.
Not to mention when your about to travel the world.
I’m learning I have no patience and the anxiousness began to mount with eyes glued to the weather channel hearing,” Another 18 inches expected to fall tonight this being the second biggest snow storm in three years,” Timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
I mean this in a non sarcastic way.
This time allowed me to calm my thoughts and rest in the Lord.
It allowed me to spend quality time with loved ones and focus on the bread of life.
What a blessing.
As the snow fell it sparked my heart.
I hear the phrase all the time “I pray for the Lords blessing to rain down upon you.”
As I watched the snowflakes fall slowly and mount into such a beautiful blanket I felt the Lord say, “Patience my son rest in me and let me slowly snow my continual blessing upon you.”
His blessing are like snow as it silently falls and blankets us until were waist deep.
Until we can do nothing else but stand in awe and accept his grace.
As I’m typing now sipping on some coffee, I just had a person glance over at me with my gigantic pack witch could probably fit a person or to inside.
I look pretty funny right now and I can’t stop smiling because my team will all be here tomorrow.
Guys I’m hear and waiting again with an anxious excitement.
Thank God he has given us the grace to go and serve the world.
