So the first leg of the Race is over. I am just so overwhelmed at how much the Lord did in such a short amount of time. One month went by so quickly and it really checked me on how fast this year is going to go. Next thing I know I’m going to be in China and wonder where the time went.

I think what all the teams are learning day by day is the importance of family. We are becoming a family, the body of Christ. I think were getting past the romantic stages of the family and beginning to embrace brother and sisterhood. I mean when your stuck in a van for 12 plus hours and someone farts a sinker what you gonna do. The girls have learned they can give the left over food to me. I have learned that going five days without a shower is just a bad idea for all parties involved. We have learned more than I think we want to know about each other.

We are the body of Christ. I have heard that in a marriage one percent is Love with daisies and rainbows and the other 99 percent is learning how life with each other. That’s what we are doing here. Where learning how to be a family, a unified body of believers with one unified vision of servant ship. As we learn how to serve our family we can serve the world. We can call others into the family of believers bound by the blood of Christ. Nothing can separate what Christ has formed and as just as I didn’t choose my biological family I didn’t choose this one. We chose to take a step and serve and we are learning how to Love. We are learning how to be a family
