Hey everyone, I wanted to let everyone know that we arrived in Cambodia safely after several days of travel. We have been here in Phnom Penh for a couple of days now. I am loving everything about Cambodia. Our ministry is fantastic. We are working with New Life Church which is only a five minute walk from the YWAM (youth with a mission) base we are staying at. NLC is an awesome church that truly loves the Lord. They are involved in all sorts of different ministries including: ministry in the slums, children ministry, orphan ministry, youth ministry, media and photo, sport ministry, and almost anything else you can think of. We will have the priviledge to work in most of these areas. Our contact truly wants us to work in the areas that we are strong at and those we really enjoy. I am super excited about this month which does come with some surprise. I was looking forward to seeing southeast asia but I wasn’t sure how the ministry, culture, and environment would be. But it’s awesome so I hope to be able to share all the awesomeness with you more than i have in earlier months.
We have been able to tour the city and we were able to learn alot about the people and their religion of buddhism. We were able to see a few of the monuments, temples, and sanctuaries of the millions who were killed by the Khmer Rouge. I do hope to tell more about all that soon, but for now my time is running short.
