It’s now December 21st. Time continues to fly by, and the days before my departure continue to become only memories. I am now less than two weeks from leaving Raleigh to meet my squad in Miami. On the 4th of January, we will all meet together for the first time since training. I will begin this beautiful journey of discovering more of who I am in Christ, how to live in total surrender to my Lord and Savior, and what it really means to become His disciple.
As I sit here with my family, it doesn’t seem real that I will be away from them for a year. I’ve already said a few goodbyes to friends, and I have been reminded of what I am sacrificing. My friends, my family, and many of my comforts will no longer be readily available. But praise the Lord for He is always enough. I will have the privilege to learn how to live in total dependence upon Him.
I want to sincerely thank all of those that have made this life changing journey a reality. Many people have made financial sacrifices to make this
happen. I pray the Lord both stretches and strengthens your faith for your giving. I also pray that all of you will follow me and my team as we embark. I ask that you pray for us and those we will encounter. Pray that the Holy Spirit goes before us and prepares the hearts of many. Ask the Lord to soften your own heart. I truly want this to be life changing for all of us.
I would also like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I know the holiday’s can be very stressful. I do believe Christmastime has gotten quite out of hand, but may we truly live, believe, and celebrate our Lord’s birth. May we use this time to be bright lights to our friends and family who do not know the Lord.
I am still in need of about $1,000. If any of you would like to contribute, I would greatly appreciate it. Just click the link and you can make a tax-deductible contribution to help further His Kingdom.
