What will it take?
What will it take to stand up against the tides of a world that is dependent on it’s own standards of living and disowning a Father’s love? A life that is ruled by money, sex, and power. A nation of people who are lost in a world of wanting more and more.
What will it take to fix a generation of the lost, the hungry, the sick, the poor? To open our eyes to a society that is being taken over by poverty, disease, and starvation. To see our brothers and sisters DYING IN DISTRESS, and to make us act.
What will it take to stop the the voilence, the destruction? What will it take to for us to get our family out of the streets of prostitution, out of the crossfire, out of a life that wants nothing more than death.
What will it take to bring back the fathers of a fatherless generation, to reunify what we used to call family, to recreate childhood memories of a once sought after wonderland of a loving and caring community? To raise children in such a way that when they grow up, we don’t have worry about them stepping up and out of the homes wondering if they’ll just end up lost or broken.
What will it take to break away the past lies in our lives? To let go of something we have no control of, to breathe in the new life of a new morning, to tear away the chains of regret, guilt, and sorryow.
What will it take to change our way in the church? To get up out of the pew, to stand tall, and to want more. To cry out to a Father that loves us so dearly, to sing and praise His name in the highest, to look past religion and see a relationship.
What will it take for us to take up responsibility? To hold each other accountable for the actions we do, to help each other grow in such a way of respect and honor for each other. To STOP pointing the finger, to STOP the endless arguements, to stop living a life of laziness in an unforgiving, unreal Neverland that will do nothing more than eat you up and spit you out.
Most importantly, what will it take, to simply say, “I love you”?
