I’ve managed to be blessed this entire week (at training camp) with different testimonies of my own, and now a new family to share the next 11 months with. With a mere 9 days, I’ve managed to see healing, being prayed over in tounge and prophesying over people. Here’s a little bit of what happened:
The first couple days at camp were definitely a change for me. It broke me like I have never expereinced before. Any emotional and spiritual barriers I had were torn down like the walls of Jericho. I remember after one of the talks we had, a man came up to me, asking if he could pray over me. Hesitant at first, I let him proceed. He began speaking in tounge, the holy spirit flowing through him. I couldn’t believe it, but my body felt like it was being raised up. My heart was pounding, blood racing, and I experienced something I’ve never felt before. After he had said “Amen”, I felt as if I was free. No more worries, no more stress, no more feelings of hopelessness and depression. Gone. Simply Gone.
Towards the end of the week, after being with people from my squad, we managed to form teams. I am truely blessed and completely stoked that I get to spend the next 11 months, sharing this ministry with them, going through struggles, being a christian brother, and more importantly being a part of a family with them. I couldn’t have asked for a better team, better friends, or a better family. And our team name, Agape Life Song, couldn’t have fit us any better. We have an undconditional love for one another (agape) and we hope to speak out life to people through song and music.
Last but not least, I finally got to have the experience of healing through prayer. One night through some unorthodox squad bonding time, I ended up eating a pie for a contest. Unfortunately, after eating the entire pie was I only to rember that I had one slight problem after eating it: I was lactose intolerant. Minutes passed and I could feel my stomach wanting to burst with pain. Tim, my squad leader, had actually gathered up people from my squad to pray over me, and so everyone gathered around to lay hands on me and prayed. It was like the last time, when “Amen” had left their lips, the pain was gone. The torture had rested and I stayed and prayed that night thanking God for such an amazing sight. God is definitely good.
