I have to begin by saying that this journey has been crazy so far, If you would have talked to me a year ago I never in a million years would have thought I was going to embark on an 11 month trip spreading Gods word. I have read many of the blogs of past racers and realized that I am not like any of them except for my love for Christ. I didn't grow up in church, didn't go to a bible college…I didn't have much hope for my life until this past year. Due to some past issues and ignorance, I was led down a dark road fueled with drugs and alcohol, you could say I thought I was a rockstar…minus the ability to play music. I hurt many people in my life and at one point you could say I was "rock bottom". That is when Jesus had enough of my foolishness and slapped me across the face. There were several events that occured and I knew he was reaching out to me. So I grabbed his hand and have never looked back. Even though the road I traveled was rocky I know that He has had a plan for me. I have a deep desire to be able to use what I have been through to make a difference in someones life and to be able to spread the love that Jesus has for each and every one of us. I am truly blessed to have this opportunity and I thank and praise God for it.
Now that I have that out of the way, a little about the real me. I am currently in college working towards a degree in sports medicine. I am a certified personal trainer and I have a degree in massage therapy. I am also a very active person, I compete in mixed martial arts and surf whenever I can. I spend any free time outdoors weither its camping, hiking, paddleboarding. I have a love for life and appreciate the little things. I love learning the Gospel and waking up each day to see what the Lord has planned for me. Let the journey begin!
