After writing this blog series I began to notice upon
reading the many comparisons that there was between the boy and Jesus. I did
not intentionally mean for this to be portrayed that way, but I believe God had
guided my hands to share a glimpse of Him with you.
Like the little boy’s fascination with the Mzungu man, God
is enthralled by you! In the Word, it says that he is there when we rise in the
morning, and while we sleep through the night. He knows the number of hairs on
your head and He calls you by name! You are His SON/DAUGHTER. You are an heir
to the throne. You are made in His image.
Need I say more?
GOD LOVES YOU!
The above paragraph is extremely hard to believe sometimes
in our lives. I have found myself many times before and even on the race
questioning God’s love for me. Just as the boy asks for money, God asks for
something from each and everyone of us. OUR EVERYTHING!
How fair is that?
God has made you His heir. He loves you more than
anyone/anything on this earth could ever compare to. He has destined you to
greatness. He calls you His own. He knows the plans he has for you. He knew you
before you were even born. And all he asks in return is for us to…
Take up our cross and
follow Him.
To set aside all the control we place in our lives, and
instead lead a radical life following Him.
