As humans we seek adventure. Whether you skateboard, gamble, climb
mountains, kayak down rapids, jump out of planes, or read/watch The
Lord of the Rings, you are a part of an adventure. The feeling of
adrenaline pushes many of us for more. More speed, more airtime, more
danger, more excitement.

relationships with friends, family members, and even lovers. The first
time you went on a date with the person of your dreams, rough-housing
your big brother, or telling your best friend something no one else
knows. These situations all take risk, but by taking those risks you
have become the person you look at when you look in the mirror.
There is one risk in life that far outweighs all the risks that came
before. This risk can lead to ridicule, becoming an outcast, having to
abandon ones self, the abandonment of your comforts, and even
experiencing your life from a new perspective. This risk is rewarding.
In my life, following God has been something that has had its UPS and
DOWNS. I took the risk at a young age. Everyday has not been a walk in
the park. My faith has been tested by people I attended school with, my
boldness has been tried while witnessing to strangers, my heart has
been broken for those in need, my expectations have been destroyed, for
His plan is not my own.
We are all sinners, and deserve nothing less than to die. But, out of
grace God gave His son Jesus to die on the cross, to take on the sin of
all humanity. The greatest sacrifice the world has ever known. He did
this so that we may not perish, but instead share an eternal life with
Him. By ADMITTING that Jesus is God’s son, BELIEVING that Jesus died
for you and all of humanity, and CONFESSING that Jesus is Lord, you can
enter into the greatest adventure ever, with the one who created it all.
Are you willing to take the risk?
