Ministering Under the Overpass
+ We worked with young boys who were rescued off the streets of
Manila, it was encouraging to see God work in this ministry.
+ These
young boys have such a love for the Lord. We also ministered to
families that were displaced by a typhoon last fall.
+ We fed and
witnessed and saw God work in lives, about 20 individuals were
baptized in a rain barrel under the overpass.
–Seeing the young sniffing solvents to fight hunger pains.
– Realizing that the local system has no concern for these people and
their situation.
– Learning I had serious side affects to my
anti-malaria medication and had to stop taking it even though I was
supposed to be on it for the next 5 months.

Kampot Village
+ Being the first team to ever share the Gospel in Touch village.
+ God worked through us and 13 new believers started their journey with
Christ. (4 World race teams have been there since and they now have a
church building/ school and over 50 believers)
– Making the gospel so simple that those who have never heard the name
of Jesus could recognize their need for Him.
– Becoming the leader of
my team, and feeling very inadequate to lead.
– Trusting God with
everything as we were eating strange foods and drinking water that
was “purified through a clay pot ?

Manistry Month
+“Manistry All the men on the squad working together and
challenging each other in their growth in Christ.
+We learned what it
means to be a warrior, and what God called us as men to be.
+Doing
construction of a building to house future teams, cutting banana
plants, herding cattle.
– It was a month of unfortunate mishaps, getting horned by a bull,
stepping on a nail and hitting myself in the leg with a machete.
– I
had to do more service based ministry for my squad-mates, such as
laundry and dishes.
