I'm writing this blog from our World Race training camp in the hills of Copperhill, TN. It has been quite a crazy exprience so far. It's day four, and people who were once complete strangers are now becoming close friends. Amanda and I are so pumped to have met so many people who are excited about missions. The details of camp are to mostly be kept hush-hush in order to preserve the experience for other racers. However if any racers are reading this, I have a few pieces of advice.
1) Leave your expectations at home, physical and spiritual.
2) Treat this like the race. If you are going to want it on the race bring it to training camp. For me that looks like snacks and some instant coffee.
3) Be flexible. Change is a huge part of training camp. Just go with the flow and trust that everything will works itself out.
4) Have fun. I believe that God takes great joy in us enjoying life.
God has been doing some great things in our lives through training camp. I'm still processing these things so expect a blog update about it sometime later.
