Wow, what a crazy past 6 months it has been. Its January and winter must have really been getting to Amanda and I when we decided to prayerfully consider leaving our jobs, friends, family, and dog to join the World Race. As we began to read about World Race, I about fell out of my chair when I saw that we would have to raise $30,000 to take part in the trip. We signed up for the Race in February and sent out our first wave of donation letters in March.
Four months later I am overly excited to announce that we have reached our fundraising goal! We don't actually have all the money yet, but it has all been pledged and we are confident that it will come in. You, our friends and family, came through big time! Whether your prayed for us, offered your words of encouragment, or supported us financially, thank you for all your support thus far. If you are currently disappointed because you wanted to support us financially but haven't yet, stay tuned for a future post about further support oppertunities.
Now our journey is far from over, its actually just beginning. This Friday, Amanda and I will hop in the car and road trip it down to Nashville for our training camp, where we will meet our fellow adventurers. Please pray for us as we make this trip and as we are prepped for our upcoming adventure.
