Joy.
A simple post for this week, but such a powerful reminder.
Psalm 16:11
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of J O Y;
at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”
i had a super hard day earlier this week and just prayed that even in the times i don’t feel the happiest, that I would remember the joy that is found in His presence alone and feel it and He provided that, every time, He provides.
The next day was one of my favorite days I’ve ever lived for no reason other than that i could truly feel and see the joy of the Lord through the sweet humans i got to spend my day with at ministry. There was nothing extraordinary about what we did this day, but it was filled with smiles, laughter, love, throwing leaves in the air and chasing the sunny spots between the clouds!
That feeling was true joy. More than happiness. So fulfilling. And it was exactly what my heart needed to be reminded of! He brings joy even in the hard parts and that has been a pretty constant theme i have been learning here.
i am so grateful for the Lord and His timing and placing me here right now. This season is beautiful and challenging and i couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. Ministry is wonderful and learning the importance of community and how to constantly be living in it is so amazing.
i truly cannot thank everyone that has supported and loved on me from afar enough!! I am still blown away that i get this privilege and i get more excited each day to see what the Lord is going to do!
