Long time, no post! Sorry about the lack of posts but we have had a heck of a month so far. Amidst the moving in process, I have started a T-shirt fundraiser!!! YAY! I designed these shirts specifically for my supporters and I’ll be personally shipping them to each of you (: They cost $25 and that covers shipping. Matthew 6:21
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Q: Why Matthew 6:21?
A: I am ready to put my money where my heart is.
This trip will be very costly. I have plenty of reason to fear that I won’t hit my deadlines or meet my goals. Do I turn away from the task in my fear?
NO.
As my dad has reminded me: God didn’t give the people a detailed plan when he commanded them to step into the Jordan. The waters only parted after they had stepped in.
Jesus commands that we store our “treasure” in heaven. Not in new eyeshadow palettes and expensive shoes. Not in comfortable beds and hot showers. He calls that we value spiritual blessings over earthly ones. Kindness over comfort. Love over luxury. Sacrifice over safety. That is why I am doing this. This faith based sacrifice isn’t an experiment – it is an essential.
I trust that God will honor my faith and I know that if he is willing for me to go, he will provide opportunities to fund the trip. I’m babysitting, I’m selling shirts, I’m asking absolutely everyone I know for support and it truly feels wonderful to finally be putting my treasures away in heaven.
