have you heard of YWAM? before just now?
well, i personally had no prior knowledge of them
until Nicole starting telling me fun stories
about her experiences with YWAM in Mexico.
it's entirely possible that I lived in a bubble prior to the Race.
thus, last month, when I heard YWAM Bolivia was in the future
for Team Luminous, I thought WINNING!
as i continue to adjust to this new location,
i am finding it to be irresistable.
here at the base, also known as Juventud Con Una Mision, for the bilingual,
we share life with students and directors
who are just starting their Discipleship Training School in February.
these men and women are from all corners of the world
and speak Spanish, English and German.
their class is small, like Team Luminous,
so it’s easy to get to know them.
we are of all ages, 19 to don't ask.
some play guitar. others dance. each of us "can" cook.
we, North Americans, are sharpening
their South American competitive edge through sessions of Dutch Blitz.
God has allowed us to step into another true family of faith
like any family, we all have great and equal responsibilities
in making sure our environment is healthy and functional.
leadership, DTS students and us Racers complete work duties.
leadership, DTS students and us Racers practice patience.
leadership, DTS students and us Racers go to bed early. me, only sometimes.
and without question, we all go before the Lord in prayer,
for ourselves, Santa Cruz and the Kingdom as a whole!
it's all about knowing God and making Him known.
so what is the fruit of recognizing these blessings?!
absolute harmony! yes, it exists!
praise the Lord on high!
