everyone knows how to do it.
nobody wants to.
it's definitely more flashy
and attractive
to go at life
like the rich and famous.
i can honestly say
that i've been trying to get by
as just a regular person.
i've been chasing money
i've been chasing security
i've been chasing lies that say my heyday is waning…
and then God steps in,
with a proposition of His own.
i am not going to let
my limited understanding
and logical apprehensions
keep me out of compromising situations.
it's time to get risky.
it's time to get busy.
Father,
thank You for this calling,
which is largely
not dependent on
what i do or don't do.
take me to the dark places,
where light needs to be seen
and truth needs to be heard.
let me journey alongside You.
this has been Your dream
since before the day i was born.
You see the start
as clearly as the finish.
keep me humble.
keep me courageous.
as i decrease timely, professionally and materially,
please continue to increase.
