Valentine’s Day is never on my radar for the right reasons.
I am a candy girl. Corporate America’s target demographic.
If you know me, it is pretty much a given that
i won’t be found attached to any guy for any lame reason,
including the opportunity of a free meal and an extra night to get super dressed up.
So needless to say, today was not supposed to stand out of the ordinary. But it did.

So much so, that I can truly say that, as of tonight,

the first words I heard other than good morning were “happy valentine’s dayl”
from a strings of guys outside the kitchen
before i was even seated at breakfast by someone pulling out my chair.
my cup was always full.
gummy bears and chocolate and a personal letters of encouragement
invited me to get more excited about the day!
and the festivities didn't stop there.
dinner was a culinary success, complete with "Whose Line Is It?" – style improv.
i was laughing so loud so long. i can't believe you could not hear me in America.

but it doesn't have to be that way. we can be intentional at all hours of the day.

but the sentiment is not limited to ourselves.

because we are in Him, we cannot help but be Love to all people, big and small.
No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another,
God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us,
because He has given us of His Spirit."
