Hello and welcome to my blog! I haven’t ever written something like this before and I was never very dedicated to keeping a journal so let’s hope this goes alright ha-ha. Firstly, a couple of things about myself is that I am the oldest of six kids and I live on a small farm in Washington with my horse, dog, cat and a ridiculous amount of chickens and ducks. I like oldies-type music, coffee, dark chocolate, the color yellow and my favorite season is summer! Some things that I enjoy doing for fun are drawing/painting, going on hikes or runs, hanging out with my friends from church and school, and going on spontaneous adventures! Sort of like this one ha-ha! I have only been on two mission trips before (to Guatemala and Mexico) and they were both a week long so to be able to go to Guatemala for a whole month is an AMAZING opportunity! Especially since I would like to pursue missions more seriously when I am out of school and this is a great way to dip my toes into the water and see what it’s like! A little bit of background about my faith is that I was raised in a Christian home my whole life, but I didn’t have a desire to really know and have a real relationship with God until the end of 2017 when I was going through a bit of a rough spot. Since then He has flipped my life upside down and inside out which I am SUPER DUPER thankful for! He has brought so many amazing people and experiences into my life that have all shaped me into the person I am today and now I hope that I’ll be able to share all of my experiences and adventures that I have on this mission trip with you! <3
