Just now, each person on my team wrote a blog prompt on a scrap piece of paper, put it in a hat, and then we each picked one out. Now we each have five minutes to write a blog about the topics we picked. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes!
Here’s the story of the first time I shared Jesus with someone.
I can’t remember actually the first time I shared the gospel, but I can tell you about the first time I shared the rawest parts of my testimony. I’ve shared bits and pieces of my testimony before, but I remember the first time I was praying over someone, and God told me to share what I thought were the ugliest parts of my story. I was still walking in shame at that time because of some of the choices I had made, but I knew if I didn’t share my story with her and pray over her that I would have that nagging feeling in my gut all night, you know the one, when God told you to do something and you chose not to or to put it off. So, I just went for it, I told her what I had done and how God was showing me He still loves me anyways, that He has forgiven me, and that I am redeemed and whole. She started crying and I will never forget the way she looked at me when she said so simply, “Me too.” And, then we both hit our knees and started crying out to Him because of how good He is and how he knows exactly what we need and what we need to hear in each moment and each season.

There will always be someone, somewhere that needs to know they’re not alone and that someone else has walked through what they are walking through.
So, share your stories!
You never know how your past will impact someone else’s forever.
