Y’all, the Lord is so so good. Lately, He’s been showing me not only that He cares, but how much He cares about the small things. He knows every detail about us, down to how many hairs are on our heads…and He actually wants to know those details. He never gets tired of knowing us intimately. So, I want to share some of the ways the Lord has shown me how much He enjoys blessing me with my little joys.
1. I really, really enjoy listening to music during car/bus/train rides. And Y’ALL, my phone has stayed charged on 1%! For three hour bus rides…TWO DIFFERENT TIMES. TWICE Y’ALL. Fact: I literally have the worst battery ever! So, you could say, that wasn’t the Lord, and why would He care about that; it was just a coincidence. But I say, why would He not care? If I enjoy it, He knows and He cares. There is literally no way my phone could’ve stayed charged at 1% for that long without some divine intervention.
2. The Lord has been speaking to me through pink flowers lately. I know that sounds weird, but let me explain. He has been putting them in my path heavily the last few days to remind me that He is in every situation. My first day in Santiago, we got lost, and we were in the car with our uber driver for about an hour and a half. Normally, this situation would have freaked me out so bad, but the entire drive, I kept seeing pink flowers. I knew that The Lord was telling me that I was okay, and everything was going to be fine just because He kept highlighting something as small as pink flowers. But, they were a big deal to me, and He knew that.
3. That same day, we eventually found our way to our ministry house. When we got there, it was past lunch time, and I hadn’t eaten anything all day. I walked into the dinning room, and not only was lunch already fixed and placed at the table ready to eat, but it was my favorite meal! The Lord knew before I was ever even in Chile, that was going to be a stressful day. And, He knew that when our host family was meal planning the week before, that specific day needed to be spaghetti just for me. He loves me that much, and He sees me.
He loves you so incredibly much, and He loves knowing all the little things about you.
Ask Him to show you, and when He does, don’t question if it was Him.
We have to learn to be confident in crediting the Lord with the the things other people may laugh at and call a coincidence.
