This is Mercy. We met her last week while doing street ministry. She is a wonderful lady full of joy. We go to know her over the past few days. I asked Mercy, “what is your dream?”
This is what she told me.
“My name is Mercy, My husband died ten years ago, So I opened up this little food stand to support my family. I have 3 children and 1 granddaughter. I love cooking. It is my dream to open up a restaurant on this corner. A restaurant with tables and chairs so people can sit and enjoy their meal. I pray for this.”
In this area of Ghana, a “restaurant” is really just a small area that has a tin roof, and some plastic tables and Chairs set up under the roof. Very very simple. She already has the food stand, we just want to help with the chairs and provide a shady spot for her guests to sit under.
I will be here for the next two weeks and would love to be able to grant Mercy this dream. I would love to try to raise 400$ for this first “project dream.” We are only 200$ away from this, but saturday is the deadline So we can start building it Before we leave.
