My team and I made it to our ministry site in Myanmar!
There is a heavy middle eastern presence here, much different then happy Thailand. I was surprised when i stepped off the 18 hour bus ride to see how different it is here. Myanmar has only been open to westerners for the last 7 years. So we get quite a lot of stares from the locals.
We are living in a remote area-it’s like a month long camping trip. We cook over an open fire and sleep on our sleeping pads. Our wilderness skills are being put to use as we have to make a fire to cook our meals. Bathrooms are a hole in the ground, and showers are from a bucket we fill with water. We “went into town” today to get supplies for the month. (Aka peanut butter and coffee!)
We are teaching English and Bible classes to an orphanage/bible school. I cant give more details then that because we are in a closed country but will update more when I can.
Internet will be scarce this month so if I don’t respond don’t be alarmed. Please keep my team and I in your prayers! For the next three months my blogs have to be password protected because of the areas we are in. the password is: fsquad
love you alll!
