Belize!!!
Its so weird to be back on this side of the world after living the last 7 months in Africa and Asia.
Belize has normal bathrooms, they speak English, and it’s been somewhat of a reverse culture shock experience!
this month we have been working with a local school In helping them get ready for the new school year! We built an awning onto a class, painted several classrooms and helped with other construction around the property.
I have loved getting to know these dedicated teachers and help them prepare their classroom for the new school year. It makes me miss teaching so much! This is the first country where they actually use colorful charts and stuff similar to my own classroom, so it’s been fun sharing ideas and stuff with each other. I could totally see myself having my own little class in Belize!
I wanted to share a little video clip of one teacher I have been working with. He just moved into a new classroom-to find a snake living in the ceiling! He describes the process of how he finds and kills the snake in the video below.
