“I’m almost not extremely sweaty”

I am sitting inside of a 15×10 plywood lined box attached to a “restaurant.” You pay extra to sit inside these boxes. Why would I want to do that? Because there is air conditioning inside these boxes!

…Or so I thought. The power just went out. and now I’m sitting inside a DARK, HOT little box.

We walk two miles to this restaurant every few days in hopes that their WiFi will be working. And to sit inside these cool box rooms. Some days it’s a success, other days (like today) not so much.

The world race isn’t all adventure and craziness. It’s walking 3 miles to find WiFi. it’s sitting under mango trees teaching English. It’s washing clothes with shampoo from a bucket because you don’t have laundry soap. It’s spent trying to make a fire with coals so you can eat Rice. It’s a lot of eating rice. It’s going to the market with the neighbors, it’s living with strangers. It’s sleeping on the ground. Its bugs. It’s sweating. It’s living life simply. It’s connecting with those around you. It’s loving more. Its finding joy in the ordinary.

This is the raw truth of my life. Behind the scenes of the testimonies and cool stories of what God is doing and showing me-theres sweaty ole me, sitting inside a little AC box trying to find WiFi to communicate to the outside world.

The reward though-is worth all the sweat, bugs and lack of communication. Gods work it the most rewarding life ever.
