Hello family and friends!

I am in Guatemala. My 9th country to serve in!

This month we are partnering with “Blue water surrender.”  (If you ever want to go on a mission trip-i highly recommend them) They are opening a safe house for abandoned and abused children in Guatemala through Casa Aqua Azul on Lake Izabal in the Rio Dulce.  The community of Ensenada has extended its welcome to BWS. In January of 2015  three cultures, Indigenous, Spanish and American  united in prayer to establish a  children’s home on the shores of Lake Izabal.

Gail is the founder of this amazing place And invited us to join the last preparations before the children start coming! Their ministry is Christ centered for the purpose of rescuing these abandoned chidren with the love of God and the help of others. We are praying the government to approve the last paperwork so they can start accepting children!

our amazing host and person behind this ministry-Gail!

The House provides a stable long term home where children are loved cared for and educated to become well adjusted and productive members of society. the house and property reminds me a lot of  Swiss family Robinson! . It has three separate levels and is overlooking beautiful lake Izabal.

Our tasks for the month is to help them build a retaining wall to keep the property from flooding.. Every day we haul 50-200 lbs rock from one side of the yard to to tire wall. There we stuff the tires with the rocks. And repeat the process. The truck loads of rocks and dirt keep coming.

I‘m not going to lie-it is grueling work. Probably the most labor intensive thing I have worked on the whole race. But knowing how this wall is going to a help and protection in the coming years to this place makes me haul more rocks with a smile.

God sure has a sense of humor. When the men who we are helping this month saw all of us girls come out, they laughed. Now at the end of the week-they  told there boss they can’t believe how strong and hardworking we are. Wow!

If anyone wants a sturdy tire wall around your property-I can build you one when I get home. :p

We are going into the jungle next week to do medical missions for surrounding villages. Two girls on my team work in the Medical field so that’s exciting! Speaking of girls on my team-I’m on a new team! Meet las Chiquita’s! (Meaning small girls) We are all under 5,4-but Don’t let our size fool you-we are beasts!

Prayer requests for this month:

-This is physically very hard work-pray for strength and endurance for the team!

-pray for the men we are working with. For their family and that their hearts would be open to the gospel and that we would be Bold to share.

-That the government would quickly approve the paperwork so this safe-house can start accepting children.
