How in the WORLD do you say thank you to so many people that have made God’s work in your life possible?
I have no idea.
I’ve written the three sentence thank-you cards, and realized they just wont cut it. I don’t know just how to explain how much you all mean to me, but I will try. This blog is for you, my cheerleaders back at home.
Its month 8 of my journey. I’m tired, Homesick, I miss my family. Comfort. I start to question what I’m even doing, and Believe lies from the enemy Such as; am I even making a difference? If anyone is even reading blogs anymore, or even remembers the girl who left America 8 months ago with just a backpack, totally unqualified for the tasks ahead. I become selfish in my thinking. I forget what God has done and is doing.
But then, you-my cheerleaders step up. You encourage me, bless me, and love me Just when I need it. You have no idea how much this means to me. Some of you I have only spoken to a few times, yet here it is, month 8-and your still with me. You are true friends.
I am not doing this Race alone. I have been joined by so many of people, including you, who have supported me with words of encouragement, prayers, financial donations, and resources. I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for all of the people that are running this race with me From across the world.
I wanted to look back and remember all that God has done through us this year!
Because of you, the Gospel has been shared in 8 countries and there are 3 more that are going to hear the Good News!
Because of you, a restaurant was built for a woman named Mercy on a dirt road in Africa.
Because of you, a pineapple farmer in the depths of Nepal was prayed over and encouraged to keep going.
Because of you, a girls orphanage home India got to have a pizza party and be loved on.
Because of you, a colony of Lepors got hear about Jesus, and have an ice cream party.
Because of you, unreached people in the floating villages heard the gospel through the colors of salvation bracelets.
Because of you, a village in Ghana got to watch the jesus film and receive Christ from it.
Because of you, we got to pray and serve doctors and patients at a hospital in west Africa.
Because of you, a school director’s dream of having more computers for her students was made a reality.
Because if you, girls were rescued out of sex trafficking in Thailand.
Lives are being transformed and changed all over the world because of you. My life has been transformed because of you. My faith has been made stronger. My hope is greater. My love is deeper.
Thank you for giving up your time to listen to my stories. Thank you for giving up your money to support God’s work. Thank you for praying for me constantly. Thank you for all the encouraging facebook messages, emails, and blog comments. Thank you for speaking life into my heart. Thank you For helping me see that serving the Lord is not a sacrifice. But a privilege.
I am not running this race alone, and I am so thankful to have you running alongside me. I could not be doing this without you. thank you from the bottom of my heart for journeying with me. We still have 3 more months of “the Race” and after that, We keep running, because our race isn’t over until we meet Jesus at the finish line!
Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my race with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
