I just ended a two week fast from all things World Race related, and from Facebook! Im glad its over, but also am thankful for it. 
 

I
actually was “pushed” into the fasting by a fellow racer,… probably by the Lord’s prompting…
He might tell you otherwise. But I’m SO glad I took the step of letting
him push me into it. If you know me well, which Im hoping you do, you might agree that I am stubborn, and really did need to be pushed into a LONG fast from something. I really feel like it was MUCH needed. Every
single part of my life intertwines with the race now, and it was hard
to separate everything. My mind was racing 20 steps ahead of myself, and it was time to calm it down!

 

It was a challenging and extremely rewarding fast. One of the things that I took the time to do was seek the Lord on my next move. I had been thinking that Las Vegas was where God wanted me, but he closed that door last week. Im very saddened by it too. So now, Im in a place where nothing is coming together for when I leave Missouri. I hate it. But I also know that God will guide me and show me things, but I have to be patient. I AM NOT a patient person. AT ALL. Im feeling very discouraged lately… and am just waiting for God to show me the way. 

I graduate LeadTime today! Its been a VERY HARD year… but it was SO worth it! I’ve learned a lot about myself, and grown in several areas. I cant believe its “over” so to speak. We have 2 weeks left with the kids before they go on break… very sad! Im going to miss them SO much. Im also going to miss my community of big sisters and brothers, and all the staff here. Its very bittersweet to leave…. And, I leave Missouri in 3 weeks! WOW. And to think about not having a plan. Talk about CRAZY. God is crazy, and will do something crazy….. which makes me happy! 
 
Ways you can pray for me:

  1. I
    need a plan (job, location etc). Pray with me that I can HEAR God
    calling me somewhere. Pray that I would be obedient to go where he
    calls, and NOT just somewhere that’s logical or easy (God usually shuts
    those doors). Pray that He would open and shut doors accordingly.
  2. I need to finish strong! My LT year has been extremely difficult,
    and the END IS NEAR! I’m excited but also sad… its a weird place to
    be in. Pray that I will seek the littles and show them my love. 
  3. That I would submit all things to the Lord, and not turn around and take them back to try to control myself.
