For years, this verse has been the song of my heart. And now, my team and I will walk into the month of March with this promise from the Lord on our lips.
As of this very moment, 6:31pm EST on March 7, 2013 we have no idea what we are doing in Bolivia. We have no contacts. We have no set ministry. We don’t even have a place to lay our heads for the month.
What is this madness? This madness is an Ask The Lord (ATL) month—a month where we seek the voice of the Lord. We go to whatever place, person, etc… the Holy Spirit reveals to us. Where He leads us, we will follow.
Our entire month will be listening to the voice of the Lord and going where He sends us. It is such a beautiful adventure. There is risk. There is an insane amount of trust required. And I am so ready for it.
In addition to the ATL, my team is also working on the Unsung Heroes Campaign—an initiative focused on finding those around the world who are tirelessly working for the Kingdom by loving on “the least of these.” The Campaign is about finding these Unsung Heroes in order to honor them by telling their story and coming alongside them to help further God’s Kingdom here on this earth (i.e. partnerships with future World Race teams).
I am so excited to see what God is going to do. He is going to completely rock our worlds this month. It is what I have been praying for—a time of complete trust and dependence on the Lord. We will not make it through if He does not show up.
But, He will show up. That’s just who He is.
Be praying for us as we enter into this month. Pray that we will have discernment to hear His voice, courage to follow it, and joy in the process.
