Friends, family, and internet stalkers…We have some serious cupcake business to discuss, so stick with me.
Think back with me to the days of elementary school. When you were a kid and you had a birthday during the school year, what did your awesome mom do? Sent cupcakes to your class. You shared the cupcakes and celebration of your birthday with everyone. You shared the cupcake with the kids who picked on you and you shared the cupcake with your best friends. You shared the cupcake with the new kid that you just met. No requirements, just "Hey, it's my birthday and I want you to celebrate with me, so here's a free gift, now eat it!"
As some of you may know, the next financial deadline for the World Race is quickly approaching. On August 18, everyone on my squad has to have $6500 in their accounts in order to launch in September.
August 18th also happens to be my 22nd birthday.
It's time to share the cupcake, y'all.
Your support of my journey has been overwhelming so far and I have surpassed that deadline. Happy birthday to me, I'm leaving the country! However, some of my sweet V Squad brothers and sisters have not raised the $6500 yet. Here comes the serious cupcake discussion we need to have…I need your help to share the cupcake.
I'm asking you to give me the best birthday present ever… I'm asking you to give me my squad!
Here's a little bit about the ones who need your support. Click on their names to be directed to their blogs, where you can make a donation so that we can travel the world together with the love of Jesus. I would absolutely love for you to support them. And if you do, click that "Contact Me Here" button and let me know, because you deserve a cupcake.

Jill Webb
Jill is not only my squadmate, but my teammate! And she's precious. She's one who helps me think before I act (thus, the reason we got awesome tattoos at TC instead of stupid ones), and she's just absolutely beautiful. Her faith is inspiring and I love that God has brought our stories together. She's from Nebraska! Which is super cool…and also means that our phone conversations consist of a lot of losing service and redialing 🙂
Kat Tompkin
Have you ever seen Despicable Me? Kat is the grown up version of Agnes. She is bubbly, energetic, and SO incredibly encouraging. She is warm and inviting and her love of people is just infectious. She's extremely talented. I'm excited to get to know her and to see the Lord use her to bring people to Himself. It's gonna be good, y'all!
Ashley Beaudin
This girl is a warrior. She has Jesus all over her and it's beautiful. Ashley was my baby tiger at Training Camp, so we got to share a tent for a night and laugh and giggle while we chatted through the monsoon. She's got this freakin' awesome e-book that you can buy to help support her too. (Totally worth the 5 bucks she's asking for it…5 bucks is basically a steal). BONUS: She's Canadian.
Erik Naydiuk
Erik…I just love him. He's got strength that I absolutely admire – a strength that's not out to overpower but that's rooted in faith and love. He's hilarious…and really good at cat puns. Getting to take Jesus to the ends of the earth together is going to be pawsome. BONUS: He's also Canadian…but in America.
Ben Boynton
Ben is a gem. Maybe he likes to wander off by himself sometimes, but that's part of why we love him so much. He's got a servant's heart and truly cares about people. For example, he pulled a spider out of my hair on bus night, therefore he is a hero.
Garvey Peterson
Garvs is the coolest. He hears Jesus and he obeys, which is awesome. We bond over the crazy things we've done in youth ministry…and also over trying to figure out how to fold up his pop-up tent. You should see him play Pterodactyl…possibly the best pterodactyl I've ever seen.
